Dan Moran

My name is Dan Moran. I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist. My approach is supportive and practical, aiming to suit your individual needs and lifestyle.

I have been seeing clients in individual therapy for nearly 15 years. Previously I have worked as an NHS Psychotherapist in Hounslow, taking referrals from GPs.  This has given me the opportunity to work with people from diverse backgrounds with extremely challenging personal circumstances. I have also worked as a counsellor for the mental health charity Mind and spent 4 years with Cruse specialising in bereavement counselling.

As well as my private practice at the Brackenbury Clinic, I also work as a psychotherapist for The School of Life.

Making the decision to have counselling is not easy. I respect the courage and commitment required to undertake this process. Therefore, it is my starting point and fundamental aim to create a safe, confidential environment where you can speak freely about anything you wish without fear of judgement. In doing so I can provide you with regular and consistent support. My aim is to help equip you with the tools you need to feel psychologically strong and emotionally healthy.

Qualifications/Training:

I am a UKCP accredited psychotherapist and Registered Member of the BACP.

I qualified as an Integrative Psychotherapist. This means I am trained in a variety of different therapeutic approaches that I am able to integrate and tailor to suit your specific needs. These approaches include: Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness, Psychoanalysis, Person-Centred/Humanistic and Existential therapy.

I completed all my psychotherapy training at Regent’s University School of Psychotherapy & Psychology. I also have a BSc in Physiology & Pharmacology from University College London.

Before (and during) training as a psychotherapist I worked in advertising analysis and consultancy for 13 years.

I enjoy running and have taken part in numerous marathons around the world. I have a particular interest in the benefits of exercise, music and art on psychological well-being.
