Barbara graduated from the College of Integrated Chinese Medicine with a BSc Honours degree & Licentiate of Acupuncture. She is a fully registered member of the Association of Acupuncture Clinicians (AAC).  She brings a safe, calming, and compassionate presence to the treatment experience. Her passion is about working in partnership with her patients to achieve long-lasting improvements in health, vitality and peace of mind.

Barbara practises an integrated style of Traditional Chinese Medicine and Five Element Acupuncture. She incorporates additional methods such as cupping, moxibustion and gua sha to address a wide range of symptoms. These include stress, anxiety, insomnia, headaches/migraines, fatigue, infertility, musculoskeletal pain, menstrual irregularities, digestive and hormonal issues. She has a special interest in working with her patients to address the psycho-emotional element of imbalance which can often be found at the root of illness.

Having trained at the Acuregen Academy, Barbara also offers facial rejuvenation acupuncture. By increasing blood flow and circulation to the face, treatment lifts and tones sagging muscles whilst improving overall elasticity and complexion. Other benefits include stimulating the production of natural collagen, reducing the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles, improving moisture balance, reducing puffiness around the eyes, face and throat, and enhancing relaxation and sleep. Facial rejuvenation acupuncture treatments can be booked as standalone sessions, but a course of at least 6 sessions is recommended for best results.

Before her acupuncture training Barbara worked in educational publishing and business management. She lived in Greece where she enjoyed swimming in the Aegean Sea, mountain treks and foodie adventures. When not in clinic, Barbara is busy on her Rocketcrops urban farm growing nutritious microgreens for the local community and inspiring others to learn how to grow their own food.
