Child Psychology uses Psychological theories to assess, understand, support and treat the social, emotional and cognitive development of children and young people.

I am a Chartered Clinical Psychologist. This means I have completed a degree in Psychology and a Doctorate Qualification in Clinical Psychology. I am also registered with the British Psychological Society. Since qualifying 20 years ago I have been working in an innovative, demanding and award-winning NHS Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS). I use psychological models to assess, treat and promote the psychological, social and emotional health of children, young people and their families. I now also have a private practice here at the Brackenbury Natural Health Clinic.

I specialise in assessing and treating a range of emotional and behavioural difficulties experienced by children and young people. These include: sleeping difficulties; eating difficulties; behaviour difficulties; anxiety; panic attacks; phobias; OCD (Obsessive Compulsive Disorder); Depression; Developmental difficulties; ASD (Autistic Spectrum Disorder); ADHD (Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder); bereavement; the impact of separation and divorce; the impact of trauma; and parenting challenges.

The therapeutic models I use include Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) and Systemic/Narrative Therapy. I will always explain what I think would be most effective for you/your child, and why. I welcome any questions you may have.
