Susie McLinden
I offer a free 15 minute phone call before meeting. This gives you an opportunity to outline your current circumstances and enables me to consider if I might be able to help you. Your first session will be an assessment where I will ask questions to better understand your past, your present and your expectations. This session is a two-way process for both you and I to consider if we might be able to work together. Any ongoing therapy will last 50 minutes and would typically take place on a weekly basis. I can work in an open ended way or time limited if you would prefer a shorter period. We would then work in a more focussed way
I am a fully qualified and BACP registered Psychotherapist and member of BPC. I have worked as a student counsellor for several years and as a Psychodynamic Psychotherapist for the NHS. I have experience of working with people from diverse backgrounds and a wide range of issues. I offer a safe and confidential environment.
People enter therapy for many different reasons and for some, taking those first steps towards finding a therapist can feel like a daunting process. This may be a time where you are struggling to make sense of difficult thoughts that have left you unsure of what you need, what to expect and wondering if therapy will make a difference.
I offer a safe non-judgmental space for you to explore any issues you wish to bring.
