Essi graduated from the European School of Osteopathy in Kent with a master’s degree. She enjoys treating people with a wide range of conditions and of all ages, including babies and children. She also has many ante- and post-natal women among her clients.
Essi uses varying techniques – from joint manipulations and soft tissue techniques to more gentle functional techniques and cranial osteopathy. She applies the biopsychosocial model which means she takes into account all factors contributing to the patient’s complaint and doesn’t only focus on relieving the symptoms. Together with the patient she tailors a management plan with the aim to prevent the condition from reoccurring.
After Essi’s graduation as an osteopath, she continued studying with the Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Institute. Clinical Pilates is a form of exercise to improve posture, muscle tone, flexibility and proprioception (the ability to sense stimuli arising within the body regarding position, motion, and equilibrium). It is particularly useful to those suffering from ongoing aches and pains. Essi’s Pilates training means she can enhance her treatments with rehabilitating exercises, which can work preventatively as well.
Essi is registered with the General Osteopathic Council and is a member of the Institute of Osteopathy.
